Login & Registration Issues
I keep getting redirected to another page!
It's likely the area you are trying to access is not available to guests, hence you must be registered and logged in to view that section, area or entire page.
How do I register for an account?
See the menu located at the top of every page for the registration link. Fill in the required fields and click "submit" to register for an account. Note: Once you are activated and logged in, you can always change your account details.
I can not log in!
Possible reasons:

1. Have you registered yet?
2. Have you checked to be certain you are using the correct username/password?
3. Have you been deactivated or banned? (see sections for more info)
4. Have you activated your account following the link in the email you received?
5. Is the site currently unavailable? (a message will be displayed)
6. Did the email you receive, explain that a staff member will need to activate your account?
7. Is there an error on the site? (if yes, please report it to us)
8. Are you under the age of 13 requiring the COPPA Agreement? (if yes, contact us)
9. What activation email? (See section: 'I did not receive my registration email!')
10. Has your username been deleted from our database? (check from the Memberlist page)

If none of the above help resolve your log in problem, please contact us.
I did not receive my registration email!
This email includes your account details and typically an activation link so that you can activate your account. If you did not receive this, consider the following...

- Is it possible your registration info had a typo? (contact us to resolve it - include the username or email address used during registration)
- Do you have email filters on? (if yes, adjust to accept mail from us, check all folders)
- Does your email service need to approve us in order for you to receive our emails? (if yes, you need to add us)
- Check to see if your inbox is full. If it is full, you may need to delete some existing emails in order to receive new ones.
- AOL/CompuServe users: Make sure your Mail Controls are set to receive emails from the Internet. If you have Internet email blocked, please change your Mail Controls by entering the keyword "Mail Controls" on AOL or Compuserve.

Please wait up to 24 hours before contacting us. Our emails are sent immediately but we do not control your email system, hence, the email may not arrive instantly.
I can not register!
This may occur when we are not currently accepting new memberships. This is usually a temporary occurence and we advise you to try again later. The info page should tell you this.

It's also possible that you've registered for an account previously. Our system only permits one account per individual and their email. Please contact us and include the email address you registered so that we may locate your username for you.

A more obvious reason would be because you've been banned. The information page should tell you this if that's the case. (see relevant sections in FAQ)
Why do I get logged off automatically?
If you do not check the Remember Me box when you log in, our system will only keep you logged in for a preset time. This prevents misuse of your account by anyone else. To stay logged in, check the box during login. This is not recommended if you access the board from a shared computer, e.g. library, internet cafe, university cluster, etc.
I've lost my password!
Don't panic! While your password can not be retrieved, it can easily be reset. Click Here to do so. Follow the instructions and you should be back online in no time.
I've been deactivated, why & what can I do?
Possible reasons:

1. email address is not valid
2. you changed your email address and forgot to reactivate yourself via email link
3. you were deactivated by a staff member for violating the site's Terms of Use

Possible solutions:

1. contact us to change your email address to a valid one
2. check your email and click the link that was sent to you
3. contact us - we may be able to resolve the issue
Back to top
I've been banned, why & what can I do?
If banned, a message will be displayed on the site/you will no longer have access. This occurs because of Terms of Use violation(s). If you attempt retaliation of any kind, your Internet Provider will be informed &/or we will take legal action to ensure you will no longer be our problem. If you believe your banning was an error, please contact us to resolve the issue.

Profile Preferences & Settings
How do I change my account settings?
All your settings (if you are registered) are stored in the database. To alter them click the Edit Profile or similar link where you may change them.
The times are not correct!
What you may be seeing are times displayed in a timezone different from the one you are in. If so, you should change your profile setting for the timezone to match your particular area, e.g. London, Paris, New York, Sydney, etc. (GMT) Please note that changing the timezone, like most settings, can only be done by registered users.
I changed the timezone and the time is still wrong!
If you are sure you have set the timezone correctly and the time is still different, the most likely answer is daylight savings time (or summer time as it is known in the UK and other places). The system is not designed to handle daylight savings. Try changing your time one hour ahead or back.
How do I show image(s) below my username?
There are two images below a username when viewing posts.

1. The first is an image associated with your rank. These are provided by the staff if applicable.
2. Below ranks may be a larger image known as an avatar. This is generally unique or personal to each user. If the avatar feature is enabled, you can access it in your profile settings.
How do I change my rank?
You can't. This is either an automated process or if the staff elects to increase yours.

Posting Issues
How do I post to a topic in a forum?
Easy. Click the relevant button on either the forum or topic screens. You may need to register before you can post a message. Note the priviledges at the bottom of forum pages.
How do I create a new topic in a forum?
Simple, click the "New Topic" button when viewing our forum index or an individual forum etc. You may need to register before creating new topics. Furthermore, opening new topics may depend on each forum or your post count. You will receive an information prompt if you are not permitted to open new topics in a forum. Note the access rights/priviledges at the bottom of each page.
How do I edit/delete a post?
You may edit your own posts but not others. Check the buttons or text in the top right corner of your posts.
How do I add a signature to my post?
To add a signature to a post you must first create one in your profile. Once created, you can check the Add Signature box on the posting form to add your signature. You can also add a signature by default to all your posts by checking the appropriate radio box in your profile. You can still prevent a signature being added to individual posts by un-checking the add signature box on the posting form.
How do I create a poll?
Easy. When you post or edit a new topic, you should see a Add Poll form below the main posting box. If you can not see this then you probably do not have priviledges to create polls.
Why can't I vote in polls?
Only registered users can vote in polls so as to prevent spoofing of results. If you have registered and still can not vote then you probably do not have appropriate access rights, you've already voted or the poll is expired.
Why can't I access a forum?
Some forums may be limited to certain users or groups. To view, read, post, etc. you may need special authorization which only the staff can grant.

Private Messaging
I can not send private messages!
There may be 4 reasons for this:

1. you are not registered and/or not logged on
2. the private messaging system is disabled
3. you may not have enough forum posts to access your mailbox
4. the staff may have prevented you from PMing

If the above does not apply, there's an error or you believe your PMing is individually disabled, contact us.
I keep getting unwanted or abusive private messages!
In the future we will be adding an ignore list to the private messaging system. For now, if you keep receiving unwanted &/or abusive private messages from someone, contact us and include applicable information. We can disable that user from private messaging entirely or if warranted, deactivate or ban them.
I want hardcopies or a backup of my PMs - how?
This feature is no longer available or installed. Copy/paste is our only suggestion for you at this time.

Formatting & Topic Types
What is BBCode?
See the Posting with BBCode Guide Here.
What are Smilies/Emoticons?
Graphical images which can be used to express some feeling using a short code. The full list of emoticons can be seen via the posting form. Try not to overuse smilies though, they slow down page loading time which makes the experience of viewing such posts, rather unpleasant. Use discretion.
What are Announcements/Sticky/Locked Topics?
1. Announcements (Important!) often contain important information and you should read them as soon as possible. Announcements appear at the top of every page in the forum to which they are posted.

2. Sticky (Rules) topics appear below any announcements in viewforum and only on the first page. They are often quite important so you should read them where possible.

3. Locked topics are set this way by the staff. You can not reply to locked topics and any poll contained inside is automatically ended. Topics may be locked for many reasons.

Note: Posting announcements/stickies or locking topics depends on your priviledges which are determined by the staff.

User Levels/Ranks & Groups
What are Administrators/Moderators = Staff?
Administrators are those with the highest level of priviledges/access to the site. They have full control over the system and user accounts. Moderators are individuals (or groups of individuals) whose job it is to look after the running of the forums from day to day. They have the power to edit or delete posts and lock, unlock, move, delete and split topics in the forum they moderate. Generally moderators are there to prevent people going off-topic or posting abusive or offensive material.
What are Usergroups?
Usergroups are a way in which the staff can group users. Each user can belong to several groups and each group can be assigned individual access rights.
How do I join/view a Usergroup?
To join a usergroup click the usergroup link - you can then view all usergroups. Not all groups are open access. Some are closed and some may even have hidden memberships. If the group is open then you can request to join it by clicking the appropriate button. The user group moderator will need to approve your request.
How do I become a Usergroup Moderator?
If you are interested in creating a usergroup then your first point of contact should be the staff, so try dropping us a private message.

Online Games
How do I play?
Simple. Click the corresponding links to access games.
Games won't load? No sound/missing graphics?
All games load in a pop-up window. Be sure to turn off any pop-up blocker software running on your computer. If you receive a pop-up window but it's all white and nothing happens, this may be because the game is still loading. (some games take awhile)

It's possible you don't have the updated software required to play these games. If so, get the players at: Macromedia Downloads

If you believe the above-mentioned doesn't apply to you, please contact us - there may be a problem with the game itself.
Is there a fee for playing games?
Absolutely not. These games are hosted by us to offer you some entertainment, nothing more.
Where can I download a game?
Not from here but you can most certainly play a game and click the links contained in them to visit their author's web sites. Alternately, you can try Google searching for a specific game.
I see an error!
Then kindly report it to us and include details/links.
Can I suggest a game to be added?
Most certainly!
If you are a member, please post info and links to both the game and the game author's web site in our open forum. We can't guarantee that we'll add it but we will look and see if it's ok to use and within our file size limitations.
If you are a game author and want to showcase your work here, please contact us directly via email.
